Not only that, but the silvery white color of the metal never needs plating and will never wear away or fade. Platinum is heavier than gold, more durable, and more beautiful. Because of this, you can expect to pay substantially more for a platinum ring than a gold one. Lots of celebrity couples have chosen platinum rings as their symbols of commitment.
